frequently asked questions
Why "eteos"?
It's a Greek word meaning "genuine". Plus I liked the sound of it, it's short, and the .com was available.
What does eteos do for me?
It depends on who you are. If you are tring to access a website that uses eteos authentication to verify your identity, then you need an eteos account to gain access to that site. Once you are registered with eteos, you can use that same ID and password on any eteos-enabled site. That means fewer passwords to remember and more trust that your passwords won't be compromised.
If you are a website developer and you need to provide authentication to a portion of your website then eteos is the easiest solution. You just drop some pre-written code--downloadable from this site--into your web application and the authentication step is all taken care of.
